Yamada-kun and the 7 Witches to will lead to a TV anime?

When Yamada-kun and the 7 Witches released a new promotional video, it has became so successful that it has already received over one million hits on Youtube. To celebrate, a new PV has been released and it announces an Original anime DVD (OAD) project as well as an official website.

The manga written and illustrated by Miki Hoshikawa is one of the most popular titles from Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine and that is saying a lot since the magazine also includes Fairy Tail and Hajime no Ippo. It follows delinquent Ryuu Yamada who accidentally switches bodies with the school’s smartest student, Urara Shiraishi.

An official website for the OAD has also been opened.

Who knows? Maybe this OAD may prove to be very popular, so popular that it would get its own (and well deserved) anime adaptation. The manga also had a live action adaptation which was aired back in August 2013.

The voice actress Yuka Iguchi’s 4 best characters

Voice actress Yuka Iguchi is known for voicing various “loli” characters and she is most certainly popular as she has garnered a huge fan following.
Japanese media website DD Navi has recently went around the Japanese otaku capital of Akihabara (again) and asked people who do they think is the voice actress’s best character. They had a total of 100 responses and here are their results:
4) Maria Takayama (Haganai)

This silver-haired “nun” with a huge appetite and innocence with the modern world may be considered a clone of one of Yuka Iguchi’s other roles but she has certainly grabbed a lot of fans’ hearts. Her rivalry with Kobato Hasegawa has been considered one of the cutest things in Haganai and she certainly cares a lot about her “onii-chan”… though she could care less about her real sister Kate who she calls old lady.

3) Maho Misawa (Ro-Kyu-Bu!)

This rich girl loves to play basketball with her friends and is certainly very loyal. She is a good shooter and a very determined forward who does not give up and she often shows her male childhood friend a thing or two about basketball.
2) Yuu Sonoda (Sakura Trick)

This yuri character certainly loves her girlfriend Haruka who she has a make-out session with on a daily basis. She hates studying and loves to eat anything macha (Japanese green tea) flavored. She often gets jealous when her sister flirts with Haruka but is also often understanding. She loves physical education and would often be caught sleeping in other classes, much to her girlfriend’s chagrin.

1) Index Librorum Prohibitorum (A Certain series)

This silver-haired nun with a huge appetite and innocence with the modern world is the original and is considered one of Yuka Iguchi’s most popular roles. She holds over 10,000 grimoires in her head and evil people want to get their hands on it, but luckily, she has one reliable body guard who can cancel out magical abilities and esper bowers. She is also considered one of the most powerful characters (potentially) in the series as she has the potential to becoming a magic god herself with the help of her vast magical knowledge. And with powerful characters like Accelerator, Misaka Mikoto, Kanzaki Kaori, Leivinia Birdway, Aqua of the Back and Othinus in the same series, that is certainly saying a lot. She is also the only character considered by fans as the only one who main character Touma can never beat… after all, Imagine Breaker cannot cancel out her bites.

Top 10 anime which made people cry the most

Anime have a wide range of genres, and many of them can hit us right in the heart and give us “The Feels”. With that in mind, Japanese anime website Charapedia has asked its readers which anime series has made them cry the most. With a total of 10,000 votes, 61.1% of which are males while 39.8% of which are females, here are their Top 10 anime which made people cry the most:

10) Gintama (140 votes)

9) AIR (141 votes)

8) The Dog of Flanders (143 votes)

7) Space Battleship Yamato (167 votes)

6) Toradora (197 votes)

5) Madoka Magica (243 votes)

4) K-On! (267 votes)

3) Angel Beats! (339 votes)

2) Clannad (600 votes)

1) AnoHana (1,209 votes)

Now, I know that some of you are thinking “Why the heck is Gintama there?!” right now and that is understandable as the series is more known for their comedic elements and slapstick nature but it does have its tearful moments. The anime can be pretty emotional if it wants to as some die hard fans can say.

Unsurprisingly, AnoHana takes #1 in Charapedia’s list and this is all thanks to that emotional last episode which can make even the toughest hearts cry. Come on, be honest, you just have to have a tissue on hand whenever you watch that last episode.

The #2 and #3 spots go to Key series Clannad and Angel Beats! respectively and rightfully so. Both series have certainly hit people right in the feels and some scenes really tug at your heart? Come on, who hasn’t cried at Nagisa’s death or the episode that centers around Yui in Angel Beats?

#4 ranked K-On! meanwhile also has some tearful moments near the end of the series which gave fans a mixture of emotions from happiness to sadness.

And then there’s #5 ranked Madoka Magica. Let’s just say some of the scenes are just a bit too difficult to swallow for your average human being.

So what other anime made you cry?

Well, Japanese anime website Charapedia asked that same question to their Japanese readers and got a very overwhelming response of 10,000 votes. The online poll garnered a 68.4% male voter percentage while it also had a 31.6% female percentage. here are their top 20:

20) K-On! (99 votes)

19) Hyouka (108 votes)

16) Attack on Titan (117 votes)

15) Magi (119 votes)

14) Hunter X Hunter (126 votes)

13) Toradora! (134 votes)

12) Free! (138 votes)

11) Chuunibyou (140 votes)

10) My Teenage Romantic Comedy SNAFU/ Oregairu (185 votes)

9) Sword Art Online (188 votes)

8) Monogatari Series (218 votes)

7) Clannad (219 votes)

6) Kuroko’s Basketball (224 votes)

5) Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (225 votes)

4) Gintama (236 votes)

3) Madoka Magica (252 votes)

2) Angel Beats! (336 votes)

1) AnoHana (420 votes)

Luckily, #1 ain’t Boku no Pico as some people might think (yes, plenty of people are still recommending that one to unsuspecting viewers). #1 actually goes to the tear jerker known as AnoHana and for good reason, the anime can seriously make the toughest of hearts cry out loud one time and make them smile and laugh in another. The anime is full of lovable and memorable characters and it is certainly worth recommending people to.

#2 goes to fellow tear-jerker Angel Beats! which also offers up some unforgettable characters, a great story, and an emotional roller coaster full of laughs, action and tears.

#3 on the other hand is a different kind of story with unforgettable characters and writer Gen Urobuchi shows how brilliant he is in its execution with plenty of twists, turns, and surprises. Gintama, which ranked #4 on the other hand may be the complete opposite of the top three as it provides some witty and comedic scenes which will certainly leave you laughing your head off.
