Second Shingeki no Kyojin: Kuinaki Sentaku OVA Trailer Streamed

Kodansha began streaming the trailer for the upcoming second Shingeki no Kyojin: Kuinaki Sentaku OVA which will be bundled in the 16th volume of Hajime Isayama’s Shingeki no Kyojin manga and is due for release this April 9. The first Shingeki no Kyojin: Kuinaki Sentaku OVA was bundled in with the 15th volume last December 9.

Shingeki no Kyojin: Kuinaki Sentaku is a manga series written by Gan Sunaaku and illustrated by Hikaru Suruga. The series began serialization in Kodansha’s Aria magazine last September. The first compiled volume has released this June with the second releasing on October 28. The manga follows the two strongest men in the series, Levi and Erwin, in their early days as they rise up the ranks and stay alive. The OVA will feature the return of the voice cast from the 2013 TV anime, as well as the staff members: Tetsuro Araki returns to direct and Wit Studio will animate.

KLabGames Announce Bleach: Brave Souls for Smartphones

It has been revealed that KLabGames, the studio behind Love Live: School Idol Festival for iOS and Android are developing a new Bleach game for smartphones called Bleach: Brave Souls which is due for release this spring in Japan.

Bleach: Brave Souls will be a free-to-play action game where you can recruit your favorite Bleach characters to organize a team and fight against enemies to progress through the 3D stages while reliving the story of the series.

ChouCho to Perform High School DxD BorN Opening Song

The official website for the upcoming third anime season of Ichiei Ishibumi and Miyama-Zero’s High School DxD has announced that Choucho will perform the opening song. The title of the song has not yet been revealed.

Choucho is best known for her 5th single Yasashisa no Riyuu (Hyouka OP), 6th single DreamRiser (Girls und Panzer OP), and 8th single starlog (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya OP). The new CD single will be released in Japan on April 15.

Issei Hyodo is your average perverted high school student whose one wish in life is to have his own harem, but he’s got to be one of the unluckiest guys around. To top it all off, he’s later reincarnated as a devil by his gorgeous senpai who tells him that she is also a devil and now his master! One thing’s for sure, his peaceful days are over. In a battle between devils and angels, who will win?

Linebarrels of Iron Manga Enters Final Phase

Akita Shoten’s Monthly Champion Red magazine announced in their February and March 2015 issue that Eichi Shimizu (Ultraman, Gelatin) and Tomohiro Shimoguchi’s (Getter Robo Anthology ~Will of Evolution~) action and mecha manga, Kurogane no Linebarrels (Linebarrels of Iron), is entering its final arc.

Eichi Shimizu served as the writer for the series’ story while Tomohiro Shimoguchi served as the illustrator. The manga began its serialization on December 18, 2004. It currently has 24 compiled manga volumes, excluding the Volume 0 of the manga which was simultaneously released with the fifth volume. The 24th compiled manga volume was released on October 20, 2014.

Synopsis of Linebarrels of Iron manga from MAL:

The Linebarrels of Iron story takes place in a fictional alternate future, centering on a junior-high school student named Kouichi Hayase, who escaped his daily life of being bullied as a child by daydreaming about being a hero. His life was forever changed during a class trip in the year 2016 when an artificial satellite fell from orbit. Due to this “accident”, Kouichi was left in a coma for half a year, and upon awakening, found himself with strange powers, including superhuman strength.

More Cast Revealed for Kekkai Sensen TV Anime

Two additional cast members have been revealed on the official website for the upcoming anime adaptation of Yasuhiro Nightow’s Kekkai Sensen (Blood Blockade Battlefront) manga.

The two new members of the anime’s main cast are:

Akio Ohtsuka (Batou from Ghost in the Shell) will voice Blitz T. Abrahms
Unshou Ishizuka (Joseph Joestar from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders) as Patrick
The two new cast members will join:

Rikiya Koyama (Kiritsugu Emiya in Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night) is voicing the role of Klaus von Reinhertz

Daisuke Sakaguchi (Shinpachi Shimura in Gintama) as Leonard Watch

Kazuya Nakai (Roronoa Zoro from One Piece) will voice Zapp Renfro

Yuu Kobayashi (Sasha Blouse from Attack on Titan) is voicing Chain Sumeragi

Mitsuru Miyamoto (Maiza Avaro in Baccano!) voices Stephen A. Starphase

Fire Emblem IF to Release This Year According to Nintendo Australia

The recent Nintendo Direct revealed the next addition to the popular JRPG franchise Fire Emblem – its working title being “Fire Emblem IF”. While unclear whether it was inadvertent or on purpose (or even if it applies to other countries), Nintendo Australia released a photo showing that it is among the upcoming games in 2015 – in addition to the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Codename S.T.E.A.M and Monster Hunter 4. The poster in question can be viewed below.

While it is “to be confirmed”, this is can certainly be considered a good sign for fans, as hopefully we’ll be seeing a mid-late 2015 release. With the actual name still in question however, some are doubtful. Only time will tell! In the mean time, keep watching and dissecting the sweet reveal trailer that was shown in the Nintendo Direct!

First Attack on Titan 2nd Season Visual Released

The first visual has been released for the upcoming second season of Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) anime, based on Hajime Isayama’s manga of the same name,  revealed in the latest issue of Gigazine and Animate TV’s Anime Guide.

The second season of the anime was first revealed at the premiere of the Attack on Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow (Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 1: Guren no Yumiya) compilation film last November. The premiere also revealed the release date for the second compilation film, Attack on Titan Part II: Wings of Freedom (Shingeki no Kyojin Movie 2: Jiyuu no Tsubasa) which will be out in Japanese theatres on June 27th this year.

Here is a synopsis of the anime from Haruhichan:

Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest of titans.

Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a titan in over 100 years. Teenage boy Eren and his foster sister Mikasa witness something horrific as the city walls are destroyed by a colossal titan that appears out of thin air. As the smaller titans flood the city, the two kids watch in horror as their mother is eaten alive. Eren vows that he will murder every single titan and take revenge for all of mankind.

The second season of Attack on Titan will be airing sometime in 2016. More information about the upcoming anime will be revealed at the second compilation film on June 27.
