Tokyo Ghoul 2nd Season Titled Tokyo Ghoul √A

The official website of the anime adaptation based on Sui Ishida’s Tokyo Ghoul manga has revealed the title for the upcoming second season of the anime: Tokyo Ghoul √A. In addition the first visual for the second season has also released.

 

 

The second season itself will be airing from January 8 next year on Tokyo MX, before airing on TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TVQ, Dlife and ATX-1 in the subsequent days. There will also be an advanced screening session of the first episode on January 4 at the Toho Cinemas in Nihonbashi. More information about ticket purchases will be revealed soon.

 

Additionally, a Tokyo Ghoul themed cafe will be opening at the Animate Cafe Caravan, from January 31 till Febuary 22, and the Kobe and Nagoya Animate stores, from February 17 till March 22. There will be various dishes and meals themed after the series for purchase.

 

 

The upcoming second season will be based on a new original story written by Ishida, rather than adapting the remainder of his original manga. The series will once again be animated by Studio Pierrot (Naruto Shippuden, Bleach) and the majority of the cast and staff will return to reprise their roles. This comes after the official Chinese website for the anime accidently leaked the information late last month.

 

Tokyo Ghoul synopsis from Haruhichan:

 

 

The suspense horror/dark fantasy story is set in Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious “ghouls” who are devouring humans. People are gripped by the fear of these ghouls whose identities are masked in mystery. An ordinary college student named Kaneki encounters Rize, a girl who is an avid reader like him, at the café he frequents. Little does he realize that his fate will change overnight.

Third Aldnoah.Zero 2nd Season Visual Spotted

The third visual for the upcoming second season of Aldnoah.Zero has been spotted in Japan. Aldnoah.Zero 2nd Season is scheduled to air from January 2015 during Winter 2014/2015 anime season.

 

 

In addition to this, the commercial for the second season was streamed which features spoilers for the first season and also gives us a sneak peak at the ending theme song GENESIS by Eir Aor. SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:mizuki will perform the opening theme song &Z for the second season.

 

 

 

Aldnoah.Zero is a brand new original series created by Gen Urobuchi, the writer of the Fate/Zero light novels and anime, and Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica. The anime is directed by Ei Aoki who directed the Fate/Zero anime – teaming up with Urobuchi once again.

 

Aldnoah.Zero synopsis from Haruhichan:

 

In 1972, the Apollo 17 mission found a hypergate to Mars on the surface of the moon. Upon landing, astronauts discovered a enchanted utility later referred to as ‘Aldnoah’, giving the astronauts a status of superiority. Soon, many humans have relocated to Mars, and have adapted to the name ‘Martians’. After Princess Asseylum, a royal Martian princess, descends onto Earth in an attempt to create a treaty between both planets, a war breaks out between Earth and Mars, and Martian soldiers begin to descend from the sky, riding steel giants, intent on exterminating humanity.

Naruto anime will keep going in 2015 with ‘new story developments'

The Naruto anime will keep on running even in 2015, anime series director Hayato Date has confirmed in a magazine intervie.

 

 

“(The Naruto anime series) Nope, it’s not ending yet! Once we usher in the new year we will be introducing some new story developments into the series. The (Naruto) anime series will keep on going!” Date said in the interview.

 

 

In addition to the new Naruto anime story developments, Date also put out a teaser for the upcoming December 4 episode of the anime series, which is a TV special meant to commemorate the release of The Last: Naruto the Movie in Japan.

 

As a tie-in to the movie, the December 4 episode of the Naruto anime series will put the spotlight on the Hyuga sisters Hinata and Hanabi.

 

 

Finally, apart from teasing the Hyuga sisters episode and new story developments for the series in 2015, director Hayato Date was also asked two other questions: his thoughts on the manga series ending, and on Sasuke returning to the anime series.

 

—What are your thoughts on Sasuke returning to the anime series?

 

Date: “He’s finally come back”, that was how I felt. Now that he’s back the atmosphere in the Naruto anime series is finally back to how it was in the beginning. And by that I mean not just in the faces you see on the show, but also in the dialogue exchanges.

Naruto and Sasuke’s kids shown in final chapter of the current series

The Naruto TV anime series will keep going in 2015 with new story developments in spite of the main manga series ending, series director Hayato Date has confirmed in an interview.

The Naruto manga series, as we know it, ends with next week’s issue of Weekly Shounen Jump magazine, set to hit newsstands in Japan on November 10 or next Monday.

 

Following the current manga’s conclusion, creator Masashi Kishimoto will be going to work on a new Naruto manga series — tentatively titled “Naruto” for now — that will begin “short-term serialization” from Spring 2015, according to this leaked magazine scan from a fan who’s managed to snag an issue of next week’s Weekly Shounen Jump early.

 

 

The new manga is part of the Naruto: Shin Jidai Kaimaku Project (Naruto: ‘Start Of A New Era’ Project). More details on the new Naruto manga will be revealed in a future issue of WJ magazine.

 

Along with the new Naruto manga announcement, some images from the final issue of the current Naruto manga series were also leaked on Twitter today.

 

Oh, and the final image in the gallery below reveals that Naruto is the next Hokage, with Shikamaru as his aide.

Junketsu no Maria: Exhibition Manga Ends next Month

According to the 49th issue of Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine, Masayuki Ishikawa’s (Moyashimon, Hitokiri Ryouma) manga sequel to Junketsu no Maria, Junketsu no Maria: Exhibition will end on the 50th issue that will be released on December 6, 2014. It has also been announced that the first and only compiled volume for the manga will be released on January 7, 2015.

 

The fantasy-historical-ecchi sequel manga was published on the 45th issue of the magazine last July 4, 2014. It is the sequel of Junketsu no Maria that was released on the first to the 33rd issue of the magazine (November 7, 2008 – July 5, 2013).

 

The prequel has three compiled volumes published by Kodansha, with each volume having a normal and limited version. Kodansha USA has licensed the manga and announced that the first volume of the three-volume series will be released on early 2015. The manga was received well by readers. The first volume had sold 81,643 copies. Volume 2 had sold 94,578 copies. And volume 3 has sold 57,516 copies.

 

 

 

Synopsis of Junketsu no Maria from Haruhichan:

 

The story follows Maria, the most powerful witch who lives during the Hundred Years’ War in France. She despises war, so she obstructs battles with her strong magical powers. Her meddling with her succubus Artemis and incubus Priapos has caught the attention of the heavens, and so the Archangel Michael issues an edict. When Maria loses her virginity, she will also lose her magical powers. A beautiful angel named Ezekiel is supposed to watch Maria and make sure the witch does not use magic in front of people, but Maria continues to use magic anyways.
