Which Summer 2014 anime are you most excited to watch?

Summer 2014 is arguably one of the most jam-packed anime seasons ever with plenty of big names in its roster. But which series has the highest expectations? Japanese anime website Charapedia asks its readers what upcoming Summer 2014 anime do they have the highest expectations of and approximately 10,000 people answered. Here’s what they had to say:

Surprise! Sword Art Online II shoulders the highest expectations out of all the anime in the season and practically left #2 ranked Free! Eternal Summer in the dust with over 400 votes. The anime has some pretty big shoes to fill as the Phantom Bullet arc is considered one of the best arcs in the light novels. Free! Eternal Summer taking the #2 is also not surprising as the anime took the fujoshi world by storm with their abtastic and abtacular swimming pool battles last Summer 2013.

 

Hamamonogatari may have been postponed until August 2014 but it still continues to be strong, even if it is not a full anime season.

 

Black Butler and Hamatora, along with Free!, Ao Haru Ride and Sailor Moon are female fan favorites and from the results, looks like the women have truly let their voices heard.
